The #develop teamblog
 Wednesday, April 13, 2005

Included in the 1.1 preview is an early version of the #report addin, done by Peter Forstmeier and Christian Amariei. This addin is not yet polished (you will see debug messages, a non-fatal crash once in a while, you name it), but still you can get a very good idea of what is to come. Give us feedback via the forum on what you would like to see in #report!

Can please someone confirm that #report report format is in Microsoft Reporting Services standard XML format of RDL (report definition language)?

One usability change that I think needs to be done is to make the data preview not be automatic. Instead, there should be a Preview Data button if you want the preview before proceeding. While accessing the local Northwind database with a straight-forward query was quick enough to be slick, the automatic preview will become a great pain with more time consuming and complex queries.
